Stacy & Lee: Real Bride Story
Where did you get married?
We got married at Rockbeare Manor in Exeter.
How did you meet?
I had known of Lee at school, but my friend and I were on a bus home and Lee was on there too a few seats in front. It’s a funny story really… he saved us from a huge moth that was flying around us and we were screaming! He grabbed it and threw it out of the window. After that the next thing I know he had added me on Facebook, we got chatting and as they say the rest is history.
How long was it until you tied the know?
It was just under 8 years.
How did he propose?
Apart from the wedding, this was the best day of our lives! We go to Orlando in Florida every other year and this particular year we decided to go for Christmas. They have a special place in Orlando called Discovery Cove, which is a private beach where you chill, eat, drink all day and you have the opportunity to swim with the dolphins and snorkel with the fish. It was our turn, the dolphin that we were swimming with went off to do a ‘trick’ & it came back with a float saying ‘Stacey will you marry me’ it was like something out of a movie! So magical & I will never forget it!
How did I know I found the perfect dress?
I always knew what style I wanted, I only tried 5 on and I instantly knew. I made a squeal and said it was the one! It had everything I wanted! I purchased my dress from Amanda K boutique in Truro, Cornwall.
Tell us all about your big day…
Our wedding was everything we could ever have imagined! We want to do it all again… We were big on making everyone welcome, happy and wanted them to feel like they were a part of a magical day too. The nicest thing to hear from everyone is that they said it was the best wedding that they have ever been to and it just made the whole stress and 2 years of planning worth it for us. We love to make people happy so that we the best feeling.
The whole team at Rockbeare were incredible, the whole day went perfectly and we were just so happy. I got to marry my best friend, my soul mate and my rock. I can totally 100% see why people say it is the best day of their life. Looking back on the photos and seeing how perfect my dress looked makes me so happy. I will cherish my dress forever and ever.
